Marie Manceau Lab
Marie is passionate about Polar Regions and works as a naturalist guide in the Arctic and Antarctica. Over the years, this passion started to fuel research in the lab. Today, several projects take advantage of the adaptation of polar bears or penguins to their environment.
For example, projects in the lab focus on how the spatial distribution of feathers has drastically evolved in Gentoo and African Penguins.
The lab also collaborates with the French Polar Museum: "l'espace des mondes polaires" (Les Rousses).
Camille and other lab members regularly visit the Falkland Islands. In collaboration with the Department of Environment and landowners, we collect Penguin egg specimens on various field sites (Grave Cove, Stevely Bay, Weddell Island).
The lab is dedicated to communicating about science, contributing to events directed towards a large audience
